SDS preparation, update and translation

The safety data sheet for chemical products (SDS) provides information on the safety, health and environmental protection of chemicals (substances or mixtures), and recommends protective measures and emergency response measures. In some countries, the chemical safety data sheet (MSDS) is also called material safety data sheet (MSDS)

SDS is a carrier for chemical suppliers to transmit basic hazard information (including transportation, operation, disposal, storage and emergency action information) of chemicals to downstream users. At the same time, the MSDS can also transmit this information to public agencies, service agencies and other interested parties involved in the chemical.

The supplier shall provide a complete SDS to downstream users to provide information related to safety, health and environment. The supplier is responsible for updating SDS and providing the latest version of SDS to downstream users.

When using SDS, downstream users of SDS should also fully consider the risk assessment results of chemicals under specific conditions of use and take necessary preventive measures. Downstream users of SDS shall transmit hazard information to users in different workplaces through appropriate channels. When specific requirements are proposed for workplaces, downstream users shall consider the comprehensive recommendations of relevant SDS.

SDS will provide chemical information according to the following 16 parts, and the title, number and sequence of each part shall not be changed at will.

  1. Identification of chemicals and enterprises;
  2. Hazard overview;
  3. Composition/composition information;
  4. First aid measures;
  5. Fire fighting measures;
  6. Leakage emergency treatment;
  7. Handling and storage;
  8. Exposure control and personal protection;
  9. Physical and chemical properties;
  10. Stability and reactivity;
  11. Toxicological information;
  12. Ecological information;
  13. Waste disposal;
  14. Transportation information;
  15. Regulatory information;
  16. Other information.
